Citizens Bank of Edmond is partnering with local insurance agent Michelle Schaefer to host a free Medicare 101 class in Downtown Edmond. The one hour seminar will begin at 6:00 pm at Vault 405 at 10 N. Broadway. Michelle will provide an overview of the program, explaining Original Medicare Parts A and B and the difference between supplements and advantage plans. She will also cover when and how to enroll in Medicare, including deadlines and penalties, upcoming changes in drug plans, and provide information for those over 65 who are still covered by their group health plan.
“Even if you’re not ready to enroll and are just curious about your future Medicare plans, you are welcome to attend,” said Schaefer. She also encourages adult children managing their parents’ affairs to attend so they can learn how to answer their questions.
